Writing: A&P Show Writing

A&P Show Writing
People should go to the A&P show because it has lots of cute animals and interesting things do see and do.

There are lots of things to see and do at the A&P show like woodchopping, motorcycling, gumboot throwing, smoothie bikes, ferris wheels, free rides on a tractor, and much more! You can also get lots of free stuff like an Alpine Spas tote bag, yellow and/or blue balloons, and even a free blood pressure check and model truck!

In the big, green shed it is filled with adorable animals like lambs with poufy fur like white cotton candy, calves that have a black coat as black as the night sky, and piglets that have skin like a pink chrysanthemum. In a pen, there are also chicks that you can touch and their feathers are as soft as silk. There are also goats that are really funny and leap up on the bundles of hay that are tied together. There is also a beehive and if you find the queen bee you get a honey and ginger flavoured candy.

At the A&P show there are lots of food trucks around and mouth-watering food like pink cotton candy as soft as wool, crispy hot chips as golden as the sun, and hot dogs (I had no idea how to describe a hot dog). There are also stalls that sell candy and one of them was called Exotic Filled Candy. The people that work in the stall gives everyone a free sample of the candy.

So from all of these spectacular things to see and do at the A&P show people should start going to the A&P show more often.

T4 Wk 5 - My Fireworks Opinion

MY FIREWORKS OPINION

I strongly think that fireworks should only be used in public displays. I feel this way because not everyone can afford fireworks and they are pretty expensive. One story that shows how dangerous home fireworks can be is about a 27-year-old male from Georgia who placed a firework the wrong way. He lifted it above his head and when it shot out it hit him in the neck and he sadly died. Last year there were 12,900 injuries and 8 deaths. One July, an 11-year-old boy was home alone in Kansas experimenting with fireworks and other explosive devices when a device blew up and a piece of metal went into his neck. He died sadly from the injury. On November 6, 2017, a mallard duck died from fireworks. People realized that the duck had fireworks shoved in its mouth and exploded, breaking off the beak. The local vet had to put it down sadly because it was in so much pain.

New Zealand does not need to have fireworks on a British event day like Guy Fawkes Day. We should have fireworks sold on a day important to New Zealand like Waitangi Day. The cost of a bag of fireworks from The Warehouse is 63 dollars.  This bag only contains 27 fireworks. Families should spend that money on food.

So from all of these horrible and scary accidents after using fireworks we now know that people should not sell fireworks in stores and be let off in your backyard. If you have pets keep them inside otherwise they could get scared and flip out. If you really really want to set off some fireworks, always keep a bucket of water of a hose nearby.

T4 Wk 3 - A Sweet Business

This week me and my friend Isla worked on a text called "A Sweet Business" together. We would love some comments about the bee diagram.
